Yuzu wine (yuzu wine)
Yuzu wine (yuzu wine)
Yuzu wine from Shiga Prefecture brewery Kitajima Shuzo, familiar sake "Kitajima". What is "salt grapefruit wine"?
The wine ranked first in the total number of votes in the 2013 Tenman Tenjin Plum Wine Competition/Liqueur Category. 165 brands from wine cellars across the country are on display. It was the most popular out of 21,000 votes cast by the public.
Unfortunately, in the final exam (a blind exam for majors including sommelier), I unfortunately came in second place by a narrow margin, but it was still awesome!
As the reviews from the plum wine competition tell us, the taste is a work that everyone honestly thinks is delicious. It contains a lot of grapefruit juice and is very fragrant.
I heard from Mr. Kitajima that it is the signature liquor of Kitajima Shuzo, "extract the original flavor and make Ichiban sake." What a luxury... The depth of the flavor of "Salt Yuzu" is not just the amount of yuzu juice, but the result of sticking to all the ingredients.
